Listed is a very tough to find antique marquise cut natural diamond. This is a true old stone, bruted girdle (not polished...showing its age), open culet and older faceting. The diamond weighs 2.19(9)ct, it could go 2.19 or 2.20 depending on the labs scale if its sent to GIA. The color has a slight warmth KL color and the clarity is VS2-SI1++ its 100% eye clean and brilliant. If you are an avid collector of older diamonds and gems then this stone is definitely for you. It was purchased from an estate and removed, graded in house by a GIA Diamond professional with 10+ years of experience. Its a spectacular diamond that would look amazing in a new or old setting. The original appraisal from the estate it was purchased from stated the value at $22,950 in May 2009. You won't pay anywhere close to that with us. This gem is ready to be set and worn. Old diamonds like this may have tiny nicks or chips due to their age, nothing visible without magnification.
